Landscape view? We have other PKMN console games such as Pokémon Stadium, Stadium 2 (for Nintendo 64) or Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness (for GameCube). They include this. They are also 3D. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl's world is in a half-3D. The game still looks in the original style, but the buildings and everything are 3D. That means they look plastic as you walk around them. And 2-player inside the world? We kinda have it in Diamond and Pearl. You can go to the Underground where lotsa people can connect together, talk to each other, run away, play Capture the Flag, trade items etc. And fish all those people saying "it doesn't have 3D graphics thus it has bad graphics". Pixel art is cool. It's my favourite. Diamond and Pearl keep the pixel art (and manga) style while they implement 3D as well. I never saw a combination like that before. It's not exactly an übercool graphics, but it's good. Still. And the music is much better now. You can hear the same tunes as in the anime. And the music inside teh Game Corner is like from a different world. And the characters have real funny quotes. Some examples: "I don't know how to put it in words. And I know many words." "Now let me show you how tight bond I'Ve developed with my daughter." etc. But I agree to the three remaining. More worlds would be nice (however the games would have a too long storyline then). Only one save files sucks my balls. I'd also like to see a Pokémon walking behind you like Pikachu did in Yellow. Just that you could choose who will walk with you. There's one place in Diamond and Pearl where you can do that, but only like 10 species are allowed in there and you cannot walk away with them. I walked my Pachirisu (a.k.a. The Hyperactive Squirrel). Now let me explain why Diamond and Pearl is superior to the original classics Red and Blue. It has truckloads of extra stuff you can do in the game every day besides coming through the story. 1) Planting berries. Plant a berry, water is, see it grow, take it. You can get unlimited number of them. Also, there are people who give you berries inside the game, so you never lose the berry evenb if you run out of a kind. There are over 50 kinds of berries. 2) Contests. Bake Poffin from berries, feed it to your Pokémon to increase their contest stats (Cool, Tough, Beauty, Smart, Cute). Appeal with your moves (obviously they are totally different in effect from what is in battle). In D/P, the third part is kind of setting up accessories and dancing with the PKMN. I haven't tried it yet, but it sure is fun. 3) Honey trees. Slick honey on trees and wiat for PKMN to smell the sweet aroma and get there. Catch rare kinds. 4) Swarms. Rare Pokémon sometimes swarm in some routes. Just check out where and go catching. 5) VS Seeker. Even if yo ubeaten all the trainers in the game, you can still rematch them if you go out and use the VS Seeker item. 6) Underground. A large undergroudn site laying under the Sinnoh region. You can do pretty much anything you want there. You can build a secret base, dig up fossils and rare items. It has a multiplayer. 7) Daily events. There are more daily events in there. For example a newspaper looking for different kinds of PKMN and giving out free pokéballs for showing or a lottery letting you win stuff like Matser Ball or Max Revive if your ID numbers match. 8) (yes, it should be a smiley, too) I heard a rumor that you can catch shiny Pokémon using the Radar Pokétch application. Not much is know yet (to you). 9) It has worldwide online multiplayer. You can trade and battle with ANYONE without needing to be in the same location. All you need is a Wifi connection to the Internet. 10) You can trade items. Like you could do that in RBY. 11) Pokémon have their abilities. Some are not competitive - they increase/decrease number of wild Pokémon appearing or find items after battle. I understand. Red and Blue are classics. They're too buggy it's hard to believe they let out the game. The betatesters sucked while compared to us at FLD. That's not exactly bad. But the competitive players stick with the new games. You'll hardly find people to play Red/Blue with. Most people now have 3rd generation games (Ruby/Sapphire/FireRed/LeafGreen/Emerald). But you'll find much more people to play Diamond and Pearl with. Because it's an online game. I understand Pokémon are too wide. They include almost everything starting with games and ending with a TV series, TCG or t-shirts. Everyone choice is different. People here just look at PKMN in a different angle than I do. P.S.: Whoa! A very long post!
